Today we remember the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr., the man who laid out his dream for a more equal America nearly 50 years ago.
The Dream Foundation, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) not-for profit organization dedicated to assisting the indigent and less fortunate access to medical and dental treatment and encourage empowerment through education, health and wellness, housing and athletics.
The Foundation provides funding to the Florida members of the Sickle Cell Disease Association of America, Inc. for research care and treatment of Sickle Cell disease; March of Dimes, Florida Chapter, a leader and pioneer in the fight to save babies. Florida Association of Healthy Start Coalitions, which was enacted by the Florida state legislature with the goal of reducing infant mortality, the number of low birth weight babies, and improving health and developmental outcomes and to the Community Partnership for Homeless, Inc, a not for profit 501(c)(3) corporation that is the private sector partner of the Miami-Dade County Homeless Trust, whose mission is to operate Homeless Assistance Centers and to raise the private funding necessary to assist in the implementation of the Miami-Dade County Community Homeless Plan.
To facilitate funding, the Foundation created the official Florida 'Live the Dream' specialty license plate, authorized by the Heirs of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., which is now available at all Florida tag offices and can be ordered online.
